The heart of "Il Sentiero delle Fate" is located in the building situated on a hill immediately before the town of Castelluccio overlooking the magnificent spectacle of color that offers the Pian Grande in every season and is dominated to the east by majesty of Mount Vettore.
Here we have ample space equipped with benches and tables, you can, at a glance tranquility, taste our products, prepared according to ancient recipes simple and tasty, be accompanied by educational courses in business or assist in the processing of cheese and cottage cheese that can buy in the small store.
The farm has always cultivate the valuable "Lentils from Castelluccio di Norcia IGP" product of excellence in the agri-food basket Umbrian awarded the prestigious Community trade mark PGI ( protected geographical indication), very tasty and rich in iron.
Along with lentil also grow spelled, an ancient cereal poor at the base of the diet of our ancestors, discovered and developed, which is cooked in salads and soups.
In the small laboratory cheese with raw milk of our sheep grazed in the plains of Castelluccio, we produce the traditional pecorino cheese , whose only ingredients are milk, rennet and salt. The cheese can be enjoyed young or, as they prefer the finest connoisseurs, after a slow ripening cave . From the first cheese whey you get the ricotta, the product of which we are particularly proud of and which over the years has won many admirers.
Following the tradition, the fresh ricotta, after days of drying outdoors, you get the ricotta salata, a product that combines lightness and flavor to a modest calorie intake.
Last but not least, a thousand flowers of Piani di Castelluccio, our bees draw an extraordinary natural honey, which in some periods of the year is available in the store.
